A partnership agreement between the Brazil Hotel Operators Forum (FOHB) and HVS São Paulo

On April 28 was signed a partnership agreement between the Brazil Hotel Operators Forum (FOHB) and HVS São Paulo. The target of this partnership is to study the hotel industry and ensure a healthy market.

On April 28 was signed a partnership agreement between the Brazil Hotel Operators Forum (FOHB) and HVS São Paulo. The target of this partnership is to study the hotel industry and ensure a healthy market, aiming at the 2014 World Cup and the Olympics Games in 2016.
Cristiano Vasques, HVS consultant, said: "We are in a time of great excitement because of the economic recovery and the 2014 World Cup. We must be careful, because we can not have the same problem we had earlier in this decade, when many hotels were built in a small market". And he added: "We will not forbid the construction of any new hotel, but this must be done rationally."
FOHB will provide data from its affiliates, while HVS will analyze all the information. The results of these reports should be published annually and updated twice a year. A preliminary edition is scheduled to be launched in the beginning of this second semester of 2010.
