TUI Hotel Kaluga (Russia) Pre-opening Recruitment Project: Mid-Management Positions
TUI Hotels & Resorts, the largest holiday hotel company in Europe, retained
HVS Career Network (HCN) Moscow to conduct an intensive project-based
recruitment assignment for twelve department head positions for their TUI
Hotel Kaluga’s pre-opening team. The company’s portfolio includes 297 hotels
and 180,000 beds in 31 countries. TUI Hotel Kaluga is the group’s first city
hotel in Russia under their own brand. HCN Moscow was retained to fill
twelve mid-management positions for the hotel’s department heads prior to
its opening.
The chief directive for this project was that the hotel needed to attract a
strong pre-opening team in order to effect a successful opening and future
operations. There was also an urgency to put together this strong leadership
team to meet opening deadlines. This meant that each candidate needed to
have previous hotel pre-opening experience and have a leadership style that
would inspire strong performances from the team especially during stressful
periods of work.
HCN Moscow conducted extensive research across Russia and the CIS markets
which ultimately led to the successful placement of twelve talented
managers. Each candidate has extensive experience in their respective fields
of specialisation in the hospitality industry as well as a pre-opening
experience of creating their departments from scratch.
Elysian Hotels Opening Executive Committee
Elysian Hotels, an exciting new
luxury hotel group, is opening their flagship hotel in downtown Chicago. HCN worked closely
with Elysian to place the following opening team members : General Manager, Director of Finance,
Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Purchasing, and Asst. Director of Human Resources.

Langham Hotels International Regional Sales Managers
Following several years of global expansion,
Langham Hotels called upon HCN to build their sales presence in the United States.
HCN responded with the placement of four regional sales managers. Geri Horan, VP of Sales

HVS Career Network was retained to secure a preeminent executive chef for the Peninsula Beverly Hills. Because their main restaurant, the Belvedere,
